Consumer Rights & Policies

What is ECC‑Net?

The European Consumer Centres Network (ECC‑Net) informs and assists consumers about their rights when shopping in another EU country, Iceland, or Norway. It ensures consistent application of consumer-protection laws across the EU.

Your rights as a consumer in the EU

  • Right to accurate information – access to full details of products and services before buying.
  • Right to withdraw (cooling-off) – most online or distance contracts may be cancelled within 14 calendar days without penalty or reason.
  • Right to legal guarantee – at least a 2‑year guarantee on new goods throughout the EU.
  • Right to complain – via your local ECC or through the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

  1. Send a written withdrawal request (e‑mail or contact form).
  2. Return the items in original condition and packaging.
  3. Receive a refund within 14 days of receipt of returned goods.
